About Louisiana Lottery
The Louisiana Lottery Corporation was created by a constitutional amendment in 1990 and began selling tickets in 1991. A portion of every ticket sold benefits Louisiana's K–12 education system through the Minimum Foundation Program.
All draws take place in Central Time. Evening draws are typically held at 9:30 PM CT for state games, with national games following at 9:59–10:00 PM CT. Ticket sales cut off approximately 1 hour before each draw.
